Psalm: My lust of life is gone; yet here

by Charles Wesley 1707–1788

From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 9 (1870)

Religion

My lust of life is gone; yet here
A few good days I fain would see,
Days from the clouds of passion clear,
Days to adore, and honour Thee:
I ask on earth a longer space.
Thy love to' attain, and testify.
To' experience all the life of grace,
And sinless at Thy feet to die.
