Psalm: The flesh against the Spirit lusts
From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 9 (1870)
Religion
The flesh against the Spirit lusts.
But, while it strives to tyrannize.
My soul in Love almighty trusts,
My faithful soul on Christ relies.
Till this intestine war is o'er,
And sin destroy'd can tempt no more.
