Song of Solomon 2:3: His fruit was sweet to my taste
From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 9 (1870)
Religion

And will not from His shade remove,
His fruit unto my taste is sweet,
The' experience of His dying love;
But sweeter far, when what I taste
Becomes in heaven my endless feast.
