Song of Solomon 2:11: The scatter'd clouds are fled at last

by Charles Wesley 1707–1788

The scatter'd clouds are fled at last,
The rain is gone, the winter pass'd,
The lovely vernal flowers appear,
The warbling choir enchant our ear:
Now with sweetly pensive moan.
Cooes the turtle-dove alone.
