by Charles Wesley 1707–1788

From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 9 (1870)

Religion

The confines of eternal night,
We, we have seen the gospel day.
The glorious beams of heavenly light.
His Spirit in our hearts hath shone.
And show'd the Father in the Son.
