Our Surety shall the breach repair
Twixt God and man; the cause of war,
The enmity remove,
The source of pain, the sinful ground,
And heal our deep original wound
With balm of perfect love.
Then shall the Lord our Righteousness
Shine forth in full meridian blaze,
With sevenfold lustre bright!
And I shall see that Sun arise.
Sun of the new-made earth and skies.
My soul's eternal light.
