Thou know'st, and Thou, O God, hast shown
The means a rebel to convert:
To make even me a pleasant son,
Thy Spirit breathe into my heart;
My heart He then shall certify
I am a child, Avith pardon bless'd.
And Thou wilt hear my new-born cry,
And lull me in Thine arms to rest.
