If Thou dost Thy gospel bless,
If Thou apply the word.
Then our broken hearts confess
The hammer of the Lord:
Fully, Lord, Thy hammer use.
Force the nations to submit,
Smite the rocks, and break, and bruise
The world beneath Thy feet.
