Joel 3:16, 17: The Lord shall roar out of Zioti, &c
From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 10 (1871)
Lion ol JiidaKs tribe, draw near.
Let all mankind Thy roarings hear,
Let all mankind revere Thy power;
Utter Thy voice, almighty Lord,
Pronounce the desolating word.
And thunder from Thy heavenly tower!
Crown Thy impatient peoi le's hope,
And fill our faith and knowledge up,
The kingdom to Thy saints restore;
And when Thy church is fill'd with Thee,
Pure holiness Thy church shall be,
And sin shall never enter more.
