From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 10 (1871)

Which of the old prophets dared
So high a style assume?
Who by them His way prepared.
The Lord Himself is come!
"I, the great Jehovah say!"
Open, Lord, this heart of mine,
All Thy words to hear, obey,
And prove them all Divine.
