Matthew 6:34: Why should I ask the future load

by Charles Wesley 1707–1788

From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 10 (1871)

Religion

Why should I ask the future load
To aggravate my present care?
Strong in the grace to-day bestow'd,
The evil of to-day I bear;
And if to-morrow's care I see.
Fresh grace shall still suffice for me.
