Matthew 10: He tramples on his Lord's command

by Charles Wesley 1707–1788

Religion

He tramples on his Lord's command.
His dread authority defies,
Who heaps up treasure as the sand.
Himself and house to aggrandize:
But naked as he enter'd in,
Out of the world he soon shall go,
Receive the wages of his sin,
And find the traitor's place below.
