Hymns on the Lord's Supper, 14
From Hymns on the Lord's Supper (1745) · Osborn ed., vol. 3 (1869)
Father, hear the blood of Jesus
Speaking in Thine ears above;
From Thy wrath and curse release us,
Manifest Thy pardoning love;
O receive us to Thy favour,
For His only sake receive,
Give us to our bleeding Saviour,
Let us by Thy dying live.
"To Thy pardoning grace receive them,"
Once He prayed upon the tree;
Still His blood cries out, " Forgive them,
All their sins were purged by Me."
Still our Advocate in heaven
Prays the prayer on earth begun,
Father, show their sins forgiven,
Father, glorify Thy Son!"
