Matthew 24:25: Behold, I have told you before
From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 10 (1871)
Religion
Yes, Thou hast told Thy church before,
And didst not warn in vain:
Thy warning brings us gracious power
The trial to sustain:
His agents still let Satan send
Tb preach or prophesy,
i MattJinv xxiv. 23—27.
We on Thy faithful love depend,
And all his wiles defy.
