Matthew 25:19: God is not slack; if long He stay
From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 10 (1871)
Religion
God is not slack; if long He stay
He surely will return at last.
And call His servants in that day
To reckon for their actions past:
What have we gain'd ourselves, or done
For others, through His gifts enjoy'd.
Or hojv improved for Him alone
The various graces of our God?
