Religion
Mark 2:27: Christ's is the religion pure
From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 10 (1871)
Religion
Christ's is the religion pure,
Which only doth contain
Means effectual to secure
The happiness of man:
God by each command requires
The creature's happiness, not His,
Here our real good desires,
And our eternal bliss.
