Mark 6:21: A Crime resolved upon

by Charles Wesley 1707–1788

From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 10 (1871)

Religion

A Crime resolved upon
Is more than half complete,
And who no more occasions shun
Will soon occasions meet:
Who bow to passion's sway-
Shall find, from fear released,
For sin, the most convenient day
Is a licentious feast.
