Mark 6:26, 27: See the hypocrite profane

Religion

See the hypocrite profane,
Satan's superstitious tool,
God defies through fear of man,
Dares not let his passion cool.
Scrupulously he keeps his word;
(Such the fruit that honour brings!)
Slays a prophet of the Lord;
Such the gratitude of kings!
