Mark 8:16: From spiritual to sensual good
From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 11 (1871)
Religion
From spiritual to sensual good
By nature's weight we slide,
Till saved and perfectly renew'd
In Jesus we abide:
From sensible enjoyments then
To spiritual we soar,
And never sink in flesh again.
And think of earth no more.
