Mark 14:47: One of them...drew a sword
From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 11 (1871)
Religion
Nature's strife will never last.
Soon her warmest zeal is pass'd;
While a soldier of the Lord,
Arm'd with neither shield nor sword,
Doth, like Christ, himself defend.
Calm and patient to the end,
Strives, for ill returning good,
Strives, resisting unto blood.
