Luke 2:26: He should not see death, before he had, &c

Death & Dying

Who God devoutly dreads,
And here expects His Son,
And in the Saviour's footsteps treads.
Led by the Spirit on
The sure accomplish'd word
He must on earth receive,
And when his eyes have seen the Lord
In endless raptures live.

Spirit of Jesus, tell
The joyful truth to me.
And in my longing soul reveal
That I my Lord shall see.
Shall see Him full of grace
Whom all the saints admire.
And fold Him in my faith's embrace
And in His arms expire.
