Luke 3:4: Prepare ye the way of the Lord
From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 11 (1871)
Religion
A Ready way repentance makes
For God to man, and man to God,
The sinner who his sin forsakes
Shall feel applied the' atoning blood,
The broken heart shall take Him in
Who comes to save the lost from sin.
