Luke 3:8: Lord, if Thou my soul convert

Lord, if Thou my soul convert
My life the change will show;
Actions evidence the heart.
The root from which they grow:
O might all my works express
A heart by true contrition rent,
O might all my words confess
The pardon'd penitent.
