Luke 7:40: O How gentle is my Lord
From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 11 (1871)
Religion
O How gentle is my Lord
Toward a Pharisee austere,
O how bounteous to reward
For his hospitable cheer!
Kind instruction He bestows
On a sinner unforgiven;
Bid by Pharisees, He shows
Pharisees the way to heaven.
