Prophets, kings far off beheld Thee,
Jesus, God's eternal Son,
Shadows then, and veils conceal'd Thee
Till in mortal flesh made known:
We have now beheld Thy glory,
Heard Thy voice of truth and grace,
Still we hear, and fall before Thee
Till we see Thy open face.
