Luke 15:14: He began to be in want

by Charles Wesley 1707–1788

From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 11 (1871)

Religion

Finds only want and misery
When God is quite removed:
How void the soul if He depart.
And O, what famine in the heart
Where Jesus is not loved.
