by Charles Wesley 1707–1788

From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 11 (1871)

Religion

The wretch he passes by,
Sufficient that his beasts he feeds,
He shghts his fellow-creature's needs,
And lets the beggar die.
