Hymns on the Lord's Supper, 134
From Hymns on the Lord's Supper (1745) · Osborn ed., vol. 3 (1869)
Jesu, we know that Thou hast died,
And share the death we show:
If the first-fruits be sanctified,
The lump is holy too.
The sheaf was waved before the Lord,
When Jesus bow'd His head,
And we who thus His death record
One with Himself are made.
The sheaf and harvest is but one
Accepted sacrifice,
And we who have Thy sufferings known
Shall in Thy life arise.
Still all-involved in God we are,
And offer'd with the Lamb,
Till all in heaven with Christ appear
Eternally the same.
