John 4:7: Give Me to drink

by Charles Wesley 1707–1788

From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 11 (1871)

Religion

He asks that He may give,
His creature's wants relieve.
Drink He earnestly desires.
Water He vouchsafes to crave,
Souls, His vehement Spirit requires,
Thirsts expiring souls to save.
