John 7:50: Who first conversed with Christ by night
From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 11 (1871)
Religion
Who first conversed with Christ by night,
Defends Him now in open day,
Arm'd by the word of Jesus' might
The malice of His foes to stay.
He quells them with resistless zeal,
And baffles all the rage of hell.
