The gospel stands in Moses" place:
The foes of Jesus and His grace
Are scatter'd by a word.
The' accusers all are fled and gone,
Misery with mercy left alone,
The sinner with her Lord,

If left alone with Thee I am,
Though cover'd o'er with guilt and shame,
I nothing have to fear;
My Saviour in my Judge I meet,
And wait a sinner at Thy feet,
Thy pardoning voice to hear.
