John 8:47: The sons of God with faith sincere
From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 11 (1871)
Religion
The sons of God with faith sincere.
Attend and know their Father's word,
The sheep their heavenly Shepherd hear
And glad confess, It is the Lord!
But ah, the unbelieving crowd
His word. His truth. His doctrine slight,
And deaf to all the calls of God,
Rush blindfold to eternal night.
