Acts: No outward miracles we claim
From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 12 (1872)
Religion
No outward miracles we claim,
Whose God and gospel are the same,
Yet trust our faithful Lord
His truth and mercy to reveal,
And pardon on the conscience seal
Through His attested word.
Whene'er we preach the dying God,
And free forgiveness through His blood,
The gospel-grace is given,
Spiritual signs are daily shown,
And God the Holy Ghost sends down
In saving power from heaven.
