If one concise epistle read
Did such abundant comfort give,
Such mighty joy admin ister'd,
What may we not from all receive
By the inspiring Spirit given
That saints on earth may reign in heaven!

The sacred book on man bestow'd
But one Divine epistle is,
Which teaches the whole mind of God,
Which fills our hearts with heavenly Miss,
And makes unto salvation wise,
And gives us thrones above the skies.
