Death & Dying

Acts 18:7: When we must our raiment shake

by Charles Wesley 1707–1788

From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 12 (1872)

Death & Dying

When we must our raiment shake
Pure from the blasphemer's Mood..
Sinners finally forsake;
Surely we depart for good:
Good to other souls design'd;
Thankful for the grace transferr'd,
They the gospel-blessing find,
Find salvation in the word.
