Acts 18:20: When they desired h m. to tarry longer, &c
From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 12 (1872)
Religion
Long undesired with foes he stay'd,
Yet could his friends' request withstand,
By no inferior motives sway'd,
A servant at his Lord's command
With messages to sinners sent,
Only where Jesus will'd he went.
