In our redeeming Lord
Who have believed indeed,
We many a quickening word
Of exhortation need.
Line upon line, to' increase our zeal,
And precept upon precept still.
In answer to our cry
Jesus, exhort ers raise,
Who may Thy church supply
With Thy confirming grace,
Thy sanctifying will explain,
And bring us to a perfect man.
