Acts 23:7: The foes of truth, by malice join'd

by Charles Wesley 1707–1788

From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 12 (1872)

Religion

The foes of truth, by malice join'd,
Soon into different factions run,
No lasting bonds the wicked bind;
Truth only truth continues one,
But error leads a thousand ways
And drops them in the endless maze.
