2 Timothy 4:7: Strengthen'd by Christ alone
From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 13 (1872)
Religion
Strengthen'd by Christ alone,
With long-continued strife,
A race as for my life I run,
For my eternal life!
And who His grace receive,
And who His grace employ,
My earthly course, I dare believe,
Shall end in heavenly joy.
