James 3:9: The Lord ts not slack concerning His promise
From Short Hymns on Select Passages of the Holy Scriptures (1762) · Osborn ed., vol. 13 (1872)
Religion
JEsus, our true and faithful Lord,
Thy promise we receive,
Thou art not slow to keep Thy word,
But we are, to believe:
Should we throughout our seventy years
For Thy appearing stay,
A thousand, when Thy face appears,
Would seem but as one day.
