Psalm 93
From Davids Psalms in Metre (1655)
THE Lord doth reign, and he himself
hath cloth'd with Majesty,
And he is cloth'd with strength, wherewith
begirt himself hath he.
The world is so established,
that mov'd it cannot be.
Thy throne's stablisht of old, thou art
from all eternity.
The flouds have lifted up, O Lord,
the flouds lift up their voice,
The flouds have lifted up their waves,
and made a dreadful noise.
The Lord our God that sits on high,
he is more mighty farre,
Then mighty waves of seas, then noise
of many waters are.
Thy testimonies are most sure,
and last eternally,
O Lord, for ever holinesse
thine house shall beautifie.
