Psalm 98
From Davids Psalms in Metre (1655)
S'ng a new song unto the Lord,
for he works wonders great,
His own right hand and holy arm
the victory did get.
Of his salvation hath the Lord
discover'd now the light,
And hath his righteousnesse reveal'd
in all the Heathens sight.
His mercy unto Israel,
and truth remembred he,
And now the ends of all the earth
our Gods salvation see.
A joyful noise make to the Lord,
all people of the earth,
Make a loud noise, and praises sing
to him with joy and mirth.
Sing to the Lord the King with Harps,
in psalms lift up your voice,
With Trumpets and with Cornets sound,
before him, make a noise.
Yea, let the sea roar out for joy,
and all that is therein,
The earth and all that therein dwell,
let them be joyful seen.
Let flouds clap hands, and let the hills
together joyful be
Before the Lord, because the earth
to judge now cometh he.
The world with righteousnesse shall he
most justly judge and try,
And all the people shall he judge
with perfect equity.
