Religion

OH Lord, that in the heav'ns remainest,
Lo, wee advance our eyes to thee:
And, Lord our God, till healp thou daignest,
They shall on the affixed bee,
As men or Maides, that waiting stand,
Vpon their Lord, or Ladie's hand.

Oh, grant vs Lord, thy dear compassion;
For, wee extream contempts have borne.
Vouchsafe vs, Lord, thy Consolation,
For why? our harts are greev'd with scorne,
Ev'n by the scornes, & pride of them,
Who live at ease, & vs contemn.
