al-Akhnas ibn Shihab

Lyall says nothing is known of al-Akhnas ibn Shihab of Taghlib; he has no article in the Aghani or in Ibn Qutaibah, but his poem is celebrated and also appears in the Hamasah.

From the information in it Lyall dates it perhaps about A.D. 550.
