A. E. Blackmar

Armand Edward Blackmar (1826–1888) was an American music publisher and composer who worked in New Orleans, where he issued many songs of the Confederacy during the Civil War.

He is credited in W. L. Fagan's Southern War Songs (1890) with the words of "Allons Enfans", a Southern adaptation of the Marseillaise dated 1861, which is reprinted here.
