Bligger von Steinach

Bligger von Steinach, a nobleman of Neckarsteinach near Heidelberg who died in 1209, was praised by Gottfried von Strassburg, but only a single song survives under his name.

One of his songs appears here in Frank C. Nicholson’s translation, Old German Love Songs (1907), made from the minnesingers of the twelfth to fourteenth centuries.
