Brian Merriman

Eleanor Hull's The Poem-Book of the Gael describes Brian Merriman as having died in Limerick in 1808. He is the author of the Irish comic poem “The Midnight Court”.

Only the prologue is gathered here, in the English version printed in Hull's anthology (London, 1913), where no other translator is named.
