Oliver Madox Brown

1855–1874

Oliver Madox Brown (1855–1874) was an English author and artist, the son of the painter Ford Madox Brown, who died aged nineteen.

The poems here are taken from Alfred H. Miles (ed.), The Poets and the Poetry of the Century (London: Hutchinson, 1891–1897), vol. 8, from the Internet Archive scans of that edition. Spelling is that of the anthology; Miles's biographical essay and extracts from longer poems are omitted, and only poems that could be read cleanly from the scan are included.
