Chang Tsai

3rd century AD

Chang Tsai lived in the third century AD. His poem on the desecration of the Han tombs describes the imperial burial-mounds north of Lo-yang plundered and overgrown.

The poems here are Arthur Waley’s version in A Hundred and Seventy Chinese Poems (1918), given with the poet’s name as spelled in those books.
