Chiang Ts’ai-p’in

c. AD 750

Chiang Ts'ai-p'in (Jiang Caipin), known as Mei Fei, the "Plum-Blossom" concubine, was a favourite of the T'ang emperor Ming Huang before Yang Kuei-fei supplanted her. The date above is the one Ayscough and Lowell's Contents gives.

The archive holds one poem from Fir-Flower Tablets (1921), the thank-you for a gift of pearls that is traditionally attributed to her.
